CHECKOUT
When you select Checkout, the Center Panel expands over the Shop Departments and Shopping Cart areas.
The top of the new page displays the process you will go through to complete the checkout process. Please note that you must be signed in to complete checkout.
Step 1 - Review Cart:
The first step is Review Cart. You are able to review, modify, or empty your shopping cart. You can also add general comments and/or instructions. These comments can be special requests for additional items or instructions like, "Please slice the turkey very thin."
Step 2 - Address:
The next step is to enter your address information. You can verify or edit your billing information. If you are placing a delivery order and the delivery address is different from the billing address, the delivery address information must also be entered.
Step 3 - Fulfillment:
Next you can choose how you'd like to receive the order - by Pickup or Delivery. Once you decide, you just need to select a date and a time and we'll make sure it is ready for you.
Step 4 - Place Order:
Finally, the last step is to confirm and place the order. You'll see a summary of your order and the payment options. You can review and modify any order information before placing your order. If everything looks right, select a payment method and the click the Place Order button to submit the order. You'll then receive your Order Confirmation number and the option to ReferAFriend to our service.
Delivery Fees
All online orders will be charged a $5.00 service fee.
In addition, A&P offers a new tiered fee structure for our delivery fees. The more you buy, the more you’ll save on delivery!

Please note that the estimated delivery fees will be based on your estimated order size as displayed on the website, but your actual delivery fee will be based on your actual order size.

First Time Customers: All first time customers receive $10 off their first order of $50 or more. Some restrictions apply.
Refer A Friend: For every friend you refer that shops with us, you’ll receive a credit for $5 off a future order. And, when your friend places their first order of $50 or more, they’ll receive our new customer discount of $10 off on that order.

Payment Methods
Recently, we enhanced our checkout page to offer new payment options for delivery. You’ll notice that the credit card information associated with your account is no longer available. Payment Card Industry (PCI) provides standards aimed at protecting you, the consumer, from credit card fraud and identity theft. In order to protect your privacy and identity as well as comply with those standards guidelines, we do not store any payment information on our web servers. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but the safety and security of our customers is very important to us.
Currently, the online shopping service accepts payment with a valid credit card or through a valid PayPal account. Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover cards are all accepted.
PayPal
When you select PayPal during checkout, you will have the ability to pay with your personal credit card as a guest or through a valid personal PayPal account. By registering with PayPal, you can apply your payment information to all future orders. However, a PayPal account is not required for credit card transactions. There are no additional fees for using PayPal.
*Please Note: You will receive an order confirmation email with your estimated total from A&P Fresh Online once you place your order. You will also receive two emails from PayPal. The initial email from PayPal will state that you have authorized a payment to our store. You will receive a final email receipt from PayPal when your order total has been finalized at the store. You will only be charged once, after the total has been finalized at the store.
Authorization Holds
To ensure that your order is processed without delay, an additional amount is being reserved to cover some of the common situations that may arise during online grocery shopping:
- A specific product isn't available and you have authorized a substitute, which is more expensive.
- Items that vary in weight, whose total price is higher than was estimated.
- Any "can't find it" items, since their prices are unknown until suitable products are located.
The actual total will be available when the order is picked by your personal shopper, and we will never charge your card more than that.
If you are concerned about the amount that we have reserved, you can reduce the number of items having estimated prices by browsing each category as thoroughly as possible and by using the "search" utility for any item that you cannot find.
Debit Cards
PayPal accepts payments by credit or debit card. However, if you use your debit card, you may see the initial authorized amount show up immediately as pending on your bank account. Once the store finalizes the order, you will also see the final amount on your account. The initial authorization will eventually be released (length of time is determined by your bank) and the final total charged by the store will remain.
